Lakota East Freshman Staff Take 15 to Walk
image
The Lakota East Freshman School staff are relieving stress, and keeping healthy by walking for 15 minutes after the school day and another 15 minutes at home after work to reach their fitness goals. School Nurse Chris Berry came up with the 15 minute for health idea and others like “15 minutes to save a life” with regard to mammograms which will be offered to staff in the spring. Dean of Students, Bill Brinkman, said that “It’s pleasing to see our staff take a proactive step in helping obtain their daily fitness levels. Certainly, this challenge demonstrates good role modeling to students and for the participants themselves a number of great outcomes occur as a result of advocating for their own health. I wish them continued success in the program”.
