Secondary Summer School

High school summer courses, with the exception of health and physical education, will run through the College Credit Plus (CCP) program. The courses are run independently through a university of the student’s choosing. There is no cost for CCP courses if the registration deadline is met. Students must complete the CCP letter of intent by April 1, 2026. Students and their parents/guardians are encouraged to attend the CCP information session at the Lakota East and West registration showcases in January. Registration for both summer school and the 2026-2027 school year CCP courses will follow the same process.

Format

These courses must be completed by June 26th at 1 PM to be eligible for credit.
Courses may be completed online remotely from home. If students need assistance with coursework, they may attend office hours with Summer School teachers at West Freshman or virtually.  Office hours will be communicated in May with further information about the course. 

Students will be required to attend daily, in-person office hours if they fall behind in completing coursework; falling behind is considered to be 5 or more assignments behind schedule.  

Information about all courses will be communicated  and courses will be made visible prior to Tuesday, May 26th. Staff will also be available to assist students in person and via Zoom on Tuesday, May 26th.  More information about this will be provided closer to the start of summer school.

Classes run from May 26th  -  June 26th

Cost

The cost for each course will be $300. 

Course fee will be posted to PaySchools account. Payment is due by April 13th, or student will not be enrolled in the original credit course.

Registration opens January 6th  and closes February 27 for original credit courses through this link. If payment is not made by April 13th, student will not be enrolled.

Cost

Credit recovery is a flat $300 fee. General Credit Recovery Fee will be posted to PaySchools account. Payment is due before enrollment into a course.

Registration

Registration is from April 26st to June 12th through this Google Form.
Students will be given one course to complete at a time.
Students will sign up for summer school, and the summer school counselor will select the classes they need based on graduation requirements.

PaySchools Central

High school students may enroll in Summer School specifically to retake an end-of-course assessment or one of Ohio's required State Tests. Testing dates are usually offered in late June and more specific details will be available below once the state confirms the testing window. Registered students will receive communication in June to schedule their testing date.

• There is no registration fee to participate.

• Preparation materials are posted in the Overview linked below. 
• Students who pass the assessment with at least a 60% overall score will be eligible to take the advanced course.
