Internship Description

Aeterna Aesthetics, a new medical spa in the West Chester area, is pleased to offer one (1) Lakota student a six (6) week medical aesthetics internship experience. This internship is well suited for a candidate who has an interest in the medical field and the intersection between medicine and beauty services, also being intrigued by entrepreneurship, business ownership, and patient or client services.

Schedule (days/hours)

The selected intern will observe on-site 2 days a week, in the afterschool hours (3:30-6:00) with the option for a Saturday, should the med spa schedule and student interest warrant an additional day.

Internship will start the week of April 1, and will have a duration of six (6) weeks, concluding the week of May 6, 2024. Specific days of the week for shadowing will be determined after students have been interviewed and offered to ensure the schedule is mutually beneficial for all parties. Flexibility on schedule will be essential to ensure the intern is present on more busy patient days to get the most out of the experience.

Internship requirements/prerequisites/standards

As this is an observational internship only, there are no prior knowledge or working requirements of the student, but it is expected that the student would be courteous, professional, and above all curious. The intern can only gain knowledge they seek in this environment, so questions are encouraged!

Dress code is flexible, either all black scrubs or black pants and a nice black shirt. No jeans, leggings, or clothing with holes.

Students must complete the internship application form, submitting a cover letter and resume via the form by March 1, 2024. Interviews will be conducted with students, and notification of award of internship offers will be made in the two weeks following. Additionally, paperwork will be required of selected students to be submitted prior to the start of the internship.

Students who are most qualified for this internship will be mature, driven individuals with an interest in learning more about careers in the internship industry. A professional demeanor is a must, and school performance and attendance will be considered for selection.
