Community Arts Internship

Internship Overview

The Fitton Center for Creative Arts is pleased to offer a Community Arts internship for up to six (6) Lakota students this summer. Participating students will be interning as a part of Liberty Township’s Creative Arts in the Park series. Each event will take place at Fort Liberty Playland (6845 Van Gorden Rd, Liberty Township, OH 45011). All session times are 9:45-11:45am.

Students participating in this internship will assist guests of the Arts series with a craft or art project. Typically, there are 50-100 attendees at these events over the course of the allotted time frame. Interns will assist with set up and clean up and guide groups through the craft activity.

Best fit students will have an interest and aptitude for art and or education. Interns will be expected to interact with the event attendees in a positive and energetic manner.

Rotations are subject to change, and students will experience the areas most conducive to student observation, per program policy and protocols.

Internship Details:

Participating students will meet under the park shelter each session and report to Fitton Center staff.

To Apply:

Students must complete the internship application form, submitting a cover letter and resume via the form by March 22, 2024. Interviews will be conducted with students, and notification of award of internship offers will be made in the weeks following. Additionally, paperwork will be required of selected students to be submitted prior to the start of the internship.
