Global Health Leaders Conference at Johns Hopkins University

The Global Health Leaders Conference at Johns Hopkins University is a leading global health education program open to students of any nationality in grades 9-12 (high school / secondary school). Through our international conference, students learn about issues in global health, public health, and medicine directly from world leaders in these fields through engaging lectures, forge connections with like-minded exceptional students from around the world, and share their own work and ideas on global health topics by having the opportunity to present in our Student Speaker Series.

GENERAL APPLICATION INFORMATION

  • The application for the 2024 GHLC is LIVE. Please click “Apply” to be directed to the 2024 GHLC at JHU application!

    • The early application deadline is January 20th, 2024 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.

      (If your application is submitted by this deadline, you will tentatively receive an application status update by the end of April).

      The final application deadline is March 1st, 2024 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.

      (If your application is submitted by this deadline, you will tentatively receive an application status update by the end of June).

  • All students currently in grades 9-12 are eligible to apply. Students may be from any country or any state within the US.

  • All applicants must have a minimum of professional working proficiency in English.

  • Students are encouraged to apply as early as possible for precedence in the application review process.

  • The application consists of:

    • Personal and demographic information

    • Academics

    • Extracurricular activities

    • Short essays

    • (Optional) Teacher, counselor, or school administrator letter of recommendation

  • Applications are evaluated holistically.

  • There are no minimum requirements such as GPA or ACT/SAT score (if applicable).

    • Students are encouraged but not required to submit an ACT/SAT score (if applicable).
