Student Intern will work alongside Jessica Wampler with State Farm to learn the many facets of the insurance industry, as well as business operations concepts. This is an excellent opportunity for interns to learn more about sales, lead generation, and other aspects of relationship development.
Internship Description of Duties/Overview
- Work with the agent to establish and meet marketing goals.
- Develop leads, schedule appointments, and identify customer needs
- Establish customer relationships and follow up with customers, as needed.
- Maintain a strong work ethic with a total commitment to success each and every day.
Schedule (days/hours)
- Part-time schedule, flexible days and hours of the day that meet student’s needs and the needs of the agency.
- Opportunity to attend some out of office events with the team, if desired
- Internship will be 6 weeks in length

- Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and listening
- Pride in getting work done accurately and timely
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task

Interviews will be conducted with students, and notification of award of internship offers will be made in the weeks following. Additionally, paperwork will be required of selected students to be submitted prior to the start of the internship.

Students who are most qualified for this internship will be mature, driven individuals with an interest in learning more about and future plans of pursuing a career in the sales industry. A professional demeanor is a must, and school performance and attendance will be considered for selection.
