LOCAL SCHOOLS
Lakota's English as a Second Language program serves over 1,600 English Learner students in grades K-12 who represent more than 76 different languages.
Welcome to Lakota's English as a Second Language (ESL) Program!
Our ESL program is dedicated to supporting every English Learner (EL) as they develop confidence and success in both language and academics. We believe that every student brings unique strengths, experiences, and perspectives that enrich our schools and community.
Working together with families, teachers, and administrators, we create a caring and inclusive environment where English Learners can thrive through strong instruction, meaningful connections, and individualized support.
Our goals are to:

In Lakota, we celebrate the cultural diversity that makes our district unique and rich in world experiences. Diversity among both students and staff gives Lakota students the opportunity to become global thinkers and culturally responsive citizens.
