In Lori's Words:

I was one of those kids who loved “playing school” when I was little. I loved getting a teacher edition of a textbook to play with. When I was in high school, a family friend asked if I would be willing to work with a young boy with Autism.  I said yes, and my career in education was born!

I received my B.S. in Special Education and my M.Ed. in Administration, both from Miami University. I worked my way through Lakota as a Gifted Intervention Specialist, Intervention Specialist, Teacher on Special Assignment, Assistant Principal, Special Education Supervisor, Director of Gifted Services, and now, Director of Student Services.  I have so many mentors at Lakota who have helped me along the way.

I have three daughters, a husband, and a Golden Retriever that keep me pretty busy and on my toes. Is there time for anything else?!

I love having conversation and learning something new. I also love taking big ideas and working them into a process or manageable chunks.

My Favorite Thing

Being home with my family is my favorite thing in the word.

My Favorite Place:

If I could go anywhere, it would be the lake or swimming at grandma's.
