In Dan's Words:

Like many of us in education, I had a high school teacher who inspired me.  I began college in engineering and mid way through junior I went to dinner with this teacher and once again was inspired.  I switched my major. I spent the first 17 years of my career in the classroom as a Math teacher at Northwest High School.  This was the best part of my career. I taught everything from 7th grade math to AP Calculus. I was an Assistant Principal for 4 years and then moved to central office in a position similar to the one I have now. I spend the first 28 years of my career at Northwest Local School District and the last 4 here at Lakota.

I have a wonderful wife and 3 children.  My wife is a teacher at Fairfield High School.  All of my children graduated from the University of Dayton and are engineers.I enjoy traveling the midwest to visit them.
