In Kim's Words:

After I graduated from Miami University with a license for middle childhood math and language arts, I was hired at Lakota and have been with the district ever since. I taught 5th, 6th, and 8th grades across 4 buildings in my first 8 years. After leaving the classroom, I worked as the Enrollment Coordinator and as a Student Services Coordinator, leading me to my current position.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending my time with family and friends. I spend most of my travel time visiting my 2 nephews in Florida, which is also where I lived until high school. I much prefer Ohio and its seasons over the hot Florida weather. My favorite part of spending my career so far in Lakota is being able to see a bigger picture of this district for our teachers and students so that I can bring history and background to conversations in hopes of constantly improving what we do for students I love having conversation and learning something new.  I also love taking big ideas and working them into a process or manageable chunks.

I love spending time with my family, no matter what we are doing.

You can often find me shopping, especially from my computer. Chocolate and pizza are my favorite food groups.

Being home with my family is my favorite thing in the world.
