Lakota's athletic programs bring out the best in our student-athletes, both on and off the field. Nearly 2,800 Lakota students participate in at least one of Lakota's 170 athletic teams offered in the fall, winter and spring at our junior schools and high schools.

A proud member of the Greater Miami Conference and the Ohio High School Athletic Association, Lakota's student-athletes benefit from a highly competitive field locally, regionally and statewide. Throughout Lakota's long history, our teams and individual competitors have captured over 50 state championship titles.

Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand! The Child Nutrition department is made up of a dedicated team of food and nutrition professionals that are focused on our students' health and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and education.  

Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

Lakota's maintenance and custodial teams oversee 25 total facilities and grounds, which include 23 schools, a Central Office for administrative staff, and the Service Center, home to the district's child nutrition, transportation and maintenance teams. Lakota's facilities amount to over 2.3 million square feet, with the grounds totaling over 500 acres of property.

Lakota is in the process of completing a Master Facilities Plan, an in-depth assessment to protect one of the district's most important assets and supports the type of learning that will carry our schools into the future. Learn more about Lakota's Master Facilities Planning process.

We are happy to make our facilities available for rental by individuals, non-profit organizations and corporations.

The mission of Lakota's Procurement Service Department is to provide students and staff with a selection of quality products, services and suppliers for the benefit of the educational process. This is accomplished through cost-effective, moral, ethical and prudent procurement practices.
 
In support of Lakota's "WE are Fiscally Responsible" vision statement, we aim to deliver cost reduction solutions and achieve excellence in governmental procurement while maintaining outstanding customer service for all stakeholders of the Lakota Local School District.

The role of Lakota's Transportation Department is to guarantee safe, efficient and cost-effective transportation of students to and from their schools.

Over the years, the district has worked with its contracted bus service company, Petermann, to regularly review bus routes in an effort to safely transport as many students as possible within the available budget.
