Hello Central Families-

We kicked off this week on Saturday with an WONDERFUL art show in Hamilton. Twenty-two of our students submitted artwork to Representative Warren Davidson's art competition. We had Leala Norman win second place and Leah Allman win third place. Many of our students and their families came to the show, which was great to see them and celebrate the arts together. I am beyond proud of our students for being such a major part of the art show as well as representing us so well with their talents. I cannot express to you all enough, just how special it is to see students trying new experiences, being successful inside and outside of the classroom, and being bold enough to express just who they are in a positive way. Additionally, other high schools were in the competition, including East and West; we placed higher than both (not that any one is keeping score). Lakota is just full of artists!

Butler Tech is offering a new opportunity for juniors and seniors NEXT school year (current sophomores and juniors) that would get them some medical credentials, include STNA licensure. See the flyer for more information.

This week, we worked through testing, we talked ALOT about graduation and heard speakers from the Ohio Innocence Project. Next week we are going to finish state testing, if students have tests to finish, please have them come in on Friday. Yearbooks are still on sale for $30 and includes many cute candid shots, which has allowed us to feature ALL of our Central students.

Cap and gowns are available in Mrs. Joseph's office! Come pick them up when you are ready.

The fourth quarter is flying by quickly. We have 23 days of school left, seniors have less. We are encouraging all students to finish this school year strong and make it a success. We are planning many opportunities to connect and to learn more about possibilities in our future; more information to come.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Mrs. Joseph
