Principal Message 5/17

Hello Central Family-

       To my underclassmen…4 more days! Stay focused and finish your work to earn credit. Our goal is to get you to graduate and we know you can do it. Keep showing up, keep working, and know the end of the school year will be here soon enough. To my senior families, it is a great week of celebration. Our graduation Monday was AMAZING, West’s graduation was wonderful, and I am confident that East’s graduation tonight will be wonderful too. I love celebrating our seniors and this class was over the top with finding success, putting in the work at the end to make it to graduation, and truly setting an example of what Central is all about. We will miss our 102 graduates, but we know the legacy you leave behind will be carried on by our underclassmen. 

    Just some quick facts about the class of 2024, we had a 95% graduation rate, 11% will move onto a 2 year college program, 21% will move onto a 4 year degree program and 21% will go to a trade school. We are so proud of them and will continue to tell their stories. 
We honored our amazing art teacher, Jodi Kessler on Friday at the Breakfast of Excellence for her work with students. Mrs. Kessler is encouraging, with high expectations, who makes all of us at Central better. She has promoted student’s artwork on the local, state and national levels. She creates a safe place where students can find their voice and express themselves through art. We are blessed to have her at Central. 

    As a reminder, we do have school through Thursday, with exams or presentations happening on Thursday. We will NOT be releasing early due to our already shortened schedule. We will also celebrate our underclassmen on Thursday. The district summer school registration is open through the end of next week, please see the link on the post below. Lastly, our students will automatically be enrolled at Central next year UNLESS you have had a conversation with a counselor and/or administration. We want what is best for all of our students, so reach out with questions. Have a great weekend.
