Cherokee Arrival & Dismissal

Transportation Information - Bus information can be found on the Home Access Center.  Please be sure to check your child's stop and time before the first day of school.  Remember to have your children out at the bus stop 10 minutes before scheduled pick up time.  Please have patience the first few weeks of school as buses may run around 20 minutes later than their posted drop off times.  For any transportation questions, please call the Cherokee Office at 513-755-8200 or email contactcherokee@lakotaonline.com.

Bus Riders - Cherokee buses enter and exit the parking lot from Lesourdesville-West Chester Road.  The bus entrance may not be used by cars!   

Daycare Vans - Daycares are dismissed over the announcements so students should listen for their daycare name.

Walkers & Bike Riders - At arrival, students crossing Kyles Station should wait at the crosswalk and cross with a staff member between the times of 8:05 and 8:15 AM.  Students coming from the playground side will go directly to the gym.  At dismissal, walkers will be called down to the cafeteria.  Those students walking across our playground and staying on the school side of the street will be dismissed out the cafeteria doors.  Those students walking across Kyles Station at the crosswalk will be dismissed out the front doors.  Staff members will cross with the students crossing Kyles Station.

Car Riders - At arrival, car riders will go directly to the gym. Dismissal for car riders will begin as early as 2:50 the first week of school.  The car rider pick up line is located on the west side of the building, beside the playground.  Cars will enter the parking lot from Kyles Station and turn an immediate right.  One lane will turn into two lanes.  Follow the directions of the staff on duty.  Students will exit the gym once their number is called and will wait to enter the pick-up area once all cars have stopped.

All families are issued a car rider number and backpack tag just in case you ever need to pick up your child through the carline.  Parents and guardians will not be allowed to come into the building to pick up for automatic dismissal.  Please plan accordingly for your child to be picked up through the carline, to ride the bus, or to walk.
