Application for Free or Reduced-Price School Meals Opens Aug. 1

The application for the district waiver to qualify for free and reduced-price school meals for the 2026-2027 school year opens Saturday, Aug. 1.

Qualifying students will receive breakfast and lunch at school at a reduced or no cost through the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. Families must apply each year for the waiver.

How to Apply Online 

Applying online is fast, secure and convenient. Your information goes directly to Lakota’s Child Nutrition office, eliminating the risk of paper forms getting lost.

• Visit the LINQ Connect website.
• Select Lakota Local School District (Liberty Twp, Ohio) from the district dropdown menu.
• Follow the guided steps to complete your form.

Please submit only one application per family. Include everyone living in your household and your total household income before taxes.

What You Need to Know

• Approval Pending: Families must pack lunch or provide lunch money for their student until they receive an official approval letter by mail.
• Additional Benefits: Qualifying for meal assistance may also help your family qualify for other state or federally funded school programs.
