Tonight we honor and celebrate Lakota seniors who will serve in the military after graduation. In addition to the traditional in-person ceremony open to the public, the district will live stream the program on West Chester Township’s YouTube channel. The ceremony will be held at Lakota East Freshman School at 7 p.m.

This will be the district’s sixth annual Military Commitment Ceremony. “This has become a very special tradition for the Lakota community,” said Lakota Interim Superintendent Robb Vogelmann. “Enlistment is one of the 4Es that we promote to our students as a post-graduation option, so we welcome the opportunity to celebrate students who have chosen this path.”
This year’s keynote speaker will Commander Mark P. Aguilar, Coast Guard Liaison Officer & Department of Homeland Security Senior Advisor to the U.S. Transportation Command.
