Meiring to Lead Lakota East Athletics
Jill Meiring has been named the new athletic director at Lakota East High School. Meiring will replace Rich Bryant, who has moved to Loveland City Schools.
Meiring has served as East’s assistant athletic director for the past five years, having previously worked at Saint Ursula Academy in this same position. “My favorite part of the job is our East student-athletes,” said Meiring. “I really enjoy getting to know them, cheering them on and watching them grow as athletes and as people.”
“During her time here at East, Jill has established strong working relationships with all of our programs and has also demonstrated a phenomenal connection to our student athletes,” said Lakota East Principal Rob Burnside. “She has a tireless work ethic and remarkable professionalism. There is no doubt that she is the person to continue our tradition as an elite athletic program.”
Meiring is grateful to have worked with Bryant at East. “I’m so thankful Rich gave me the opportunity to be a part of the Lakota East community. He has been an incredible mentor to me these past five years and I’ve learned so much.”
As she begins her new role, Meiring is focused on the students. “I’m hoping to curate meaningful, amazing experiences for our athletes,” she said. “Being a student athlete at Lakota East is a privilege and I want to help make their years (here) the best they can be.”
