Workshop: Why Can't My Child Stay on Task? Navigating Screens with Little Ones
Lakota Local Schools, in partnership with Beech Acres Parenting Center, presents the next seminar in the Parent Connext Academy mental health series. Join other Lakota parents on November 17 for this session titled, "Why Can't My Child Stay on Task?: Navigating Screens with Little Ones."
The parent workshop is open to any Lakota parent. The session will focus on:
- helping parents understand why children struggle with focus and follow-through;
- how executive function skills impact attention and task completions;
- practical tools to build persistence, structure, and motivation at home; and
- ways to respond with empathy while setting clear expectations.
The workshop will be held on Monday, November 17 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Zoom. Register for the November 17 workshop.
