The spring 2022 edition of Lakota's Financial Prospectus, now available electronically, will arrive in mailboxes the week of June 20.
This annual publication, distributed to West Chester and Liberty residents and businesses, is designed to provide a complete and in-depth view of the district’s current and projected financial situation. It shares with the community important financial information such as where the district receives funds, how the district prioritizes its spending, how our taxes and spending compare to similar districts, and what the district has done to maintain a balanced budget for the last ten years.
The upcoming edition also includes a special section dedicated to Lakota’s evolving Master Facilities Plan, the last of which was completed in the early 2000s. The section shares information about the four options being considered by the Board of Education, in addition to a project timeline, fast facts about Lakota’s facilities and funding options.
“We bring you this financial prospectus as a way for you, our community, to take a deeper dive into the district’s finances and how we are living out our promise to be fiscally responsible with our taxpayers’ dollars,” said Treasurer & CFO Jenni Logan.
Extra copies of the publication will be available at Lakota’s Central Office, in addition to any school’s main office, both township administration offices and the MidPointe Library.
