Lori Brown Named Executive Director, Pupil Services

Lakota Local Schools has named Lori Brown as Executive Director of Pupil Services. For nearly two decades, Brown has served the students at Lakota, most recently as the Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction. 

Throughout her years at Lakota, Brown has served in many capacities, including: intervention specialist, assistant principal, special education supervisor, director of gifted services and director of student services. As Executive Director of Pupil Services, she will return to pupil (student) services, leading the department that oversees such areas as counselors, nurses and student behavior supports.

“I am excited to move back to pupil services,” Brown said, whose love of education began in high school after being asked to help a young student with Autism.

During her three years leading the curriculum and instruction department, Lakota has seen consistent growth in student achievement, which is reflected in the District’s 4.5 star state report card rating.

“My favorite part of Lakota is the number of people who have committed their careers to supporting the students in this district,” she said. “There are so many of us who have stayed here because we believe in Lakota.”
