24-25 Class Placement 

Each spring, Lakota elementary school administrators and teachers spend a significant amount of time preparing class lists for the upcoming year.  The first priority for class placement in all Lakota elementary schools is to create a well-balanced academic and behavioral classroom for all students.  In order to accomplish this goal, many factors are taken into consideration.  All schools look at factors such as overall academic ability, value-added projections, MAP, OST scores, classroom performance, and social interactions to determine placement.  We are very consistent in this practice.  Information from your child's current classroom teacher is also an important part of this process.

If you have critical information regarding your child, please fill out the Parent Input Form by the end of the day on Friday, May10th for consideration.  Your e-mail should focus on your child's learning style or the environment she/he responds to best.  Submissions requesting a specific teacher or forms received after the end of school on May 10th cannot be considered.  All requests meeting these requirements will be reviewed and considered but not promised.  Please note, you do not need to fill out a form unless there are special circumstances you would like us to know.
