Beginning Archery Program for 5th and 6th Graders!

Come see what archery is all about in this introductory archery enrichment program for 5th and 6th grade students at Independence Elementary! 

This program will run after school on the following dates: 1/24/24, 1/31/24, 2/7/24, 2/14/24, 2/21/24, and 2/28/24  

The fee for this program is $100.00.  This covers everything for the program.

Class begins at 3:15 and ends promptly at 4:45 

During the course, students will learn safety rules, proper handling of equipment, proper shooting techniques, learn about proper scoring and play games designed to improve performance. 

Each student will have five weeks to practice and evaluate their skills with the sixth week ending in a friendly tournament. 

Two instructors will be teaching this course to ensure the safety of the students and an 8:1 student to teacher ratio. There will be up to four lanes with no more than 4 students in each lane. This ensures student safety and plenty of shooting time! 

Students will also receive an awesome Archery Club t-shirt!

The first 16 students signed up will make up the first class.  If you sign up into one of those 16 spots you will receive an email notification that your student is enrolled for the program. This notification will take place by January 15th. Within that notification will be information regarding payment to hold your spot. Payment will be in the form of Venmo to Indy PTA*.  Those families will have 48 hours to Venmo the cost of the class to the Independence PTA in order to attend.  

*If you are unable to use Venmo we can set up an alternate option for you

We will have a waiting list (in order of sign up) in case any original sign ups are unable to attend.  You will be notified by January 15th if you are on the waitlist.

We are hopeful that we will be able to offer another round of archery in the Spring so more students can experience it!  Those on the waiting list will have the first opportunity to join the next class if we are able to offer a Spring round.
