• ATTENTION SENIORS: 2023 Lakota West High School
  • PTSO Scholarship Information:
  • Ten (10) $500 Post-secondary scholarships may be awarded.  Please click on the link below for more information. Applications and essays are due by 3pm on Friday, April 7th. Please check Naviance for the link.
     
• Congratulations to the boys volleyball team for beating Badin 3-1 last night!
   
• The week after spring break, starting March 27th, the Environmental Club will be collecting denim to be recycled. So as you're doing your spring cleaning, gather up any old denim you would like to donate. The Environmental club is happy to accept and recycle old jeans, denim jackets, shirts, pants, skirts, and shorts in any color. There will be boxes on main street to put your old denim after break.
   
• Interested in trying out different careers? Would you like to experience job shadowing in video production, hospitals, business, labs, and more? Then you should apply for internships for this summer! Go to lakotaonline.com/internships to check out the offerings. Applications are due today!
   
• Juniors interested in applying for the Lakota West National Honor Society and have a 3.5 weighted or unweighted GPA may pick up NHS applications in Mrs. Weber’s Room 213. All applications are due back to Mrs. Weber by 3:00 PM today! There will be no applications accepted after 3:00 PM today!
   
• Butler Tech has introduced a new Senior Only program for next year for Firefighting I & II and the application is now open. New students looking to apply for lottery placement for Senior Firefighting I & II must apply by April 5 deadline. Students may continue to apply for the Senior EMT program. You must be on track to graduate next year to apply for these programs. .

Freshman Campus Announcements

 

• Students going to the Clinic:
  • Cell phones will be given to Nurse Hasty upon entry to the clinic. There is NO cell phone usage in the clinic. 
  • You may not go to the clinic to get a snack. 
  • If you need ice, you will be given ice and will immediately return to class. 
  • If you are using a heating pad, that will be limited to 10 minutes and then you will return to class. 
  • Also, please remember, no student can be in the clinic without first having a pass from a teacher.
