Student Talent Takes Center Stage at Colors of Creativity

Student Talent Takes Center Stage at Colors of Creativity

Lakota Local Schools invites the community to experience Colors of Creativity: Lakota Art Showcase, a vibrant exhibition celebrating the artistic talents of students from every grade level. Featuring more than 500 unique works of art, the showcase highlights the creativity, imagination, and diverse perspectives of Lakota’s youngest learners through its graduating seniors.

Each piece on display tells a story—reflecting students’ ideas, experiences and dedication to their craft. Together, the collection illustrates the depth of artistic expression thriving throughout Lakota Local Schools and underscores the district’s commitment to arts education.

This special exhibition is made possible through valued partnerships with the Fitton Center for Creative Arts and Liberty Center. These collaborations not only provide an inspiring venue for student artwork, but also strengthen community connections and demonstrate the powerful results of working together in support of education and the arts.

"We are thrilled to once again partner with the Fitton Center for Creative Arts and Liberty Center for Colors of Creativity,” said Lakota Superintendent Ashley Whitely. “This collaboration shines a spotlight on our talented students and gives the community the opportunity to experience their exceptional work.”

The month-long art show's grand opening is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, at 2 p.m. at the Foundry at Liberty Center (7100 Foundry Row, Liberty Township, OH 45069). The exhibition is free and open to the public during Liberty Center hours. Artwork will be on display on the first floor of the Foundry Building through April 16.
