Dear Ridge Families,
As the weather turns colder and snow begins to make its way into the forecast, I want to remind everyone to dress warmly and prepare for winter conditions. We are now more than halfway through the second quarter, and this is a great time to check in with your students academically. Please log into HAC to monitor grades and progress and have conversations with your child about their goals for the remainder of the quarter.
This week, we celebrated the achievements of our newest National Junior Honor Society inductees during a special ceremony on Wednesday evening. Congratulations to these students for their hard work and dedication!
Last night, both the girls’ and boys’ basketball teams participated in scrimmages. A special thank you to the student section and cheerleaders for their energy and support for the girls’ teams. Your school spirit is always appreciated and sets a positive tone for our athletes! A quick reminder for students attending home games: you must go home after school and return to Ridge no earlier than 4:15. Admission is $5 unless you’re wearing Ridge gear, in which case you get in free. Please be sure to arrange for prompt pick-up at the end of the games, which usually conclude around 6:30. Thank you for your cooperation!
Looking ahead, we’re excited about this weekend’s production of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. I hope many of you can join us to enjoy the incredible talent of our students.
Please note there will be no Ridge Review next week due to the short week. There is no school from November 27th-29th, and I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Take time to relax, enjoy your family, and, for those traveling, have safe travels. After the break, we’ll have just three short weeks until winter break.
I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for your continued support. I feel blessed to work with such an incredible staff, students, and school community.
Wishing you and your family a happy Thanksgiving!
Warm regards,
Stacey Cahill
