Board President O’Connor Receives OSBA Service Award

On March 9, Lakota School Board President Lynda O’Connor received the 2023 Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) Service Award.

The OSBA Service Award is presented to a very select group. Of the more than 3,400 board members in Ohio, only 52 received the honor in 2023. The award recognizes O’Connor’s commitment toward public education and her dedication in her role as a school board member.

“It was an honor to receive this award from OSBA for service,” said O’Connor. “It’s important for me to continue to do everything I can to make sure that, as a board member, I’m constantly learning and honing my skills. This ensures that I do what’s best for every Lakota student when making decisions.”

O’Connor has been serving Lakota Schools and the community as a member of the Board of Education since 2008.
