Robb Vogelmann Named Interim Superintendent

At a special meeting of the Lakota Board of Education on Jan. 19, 2023, the Board voted unanimously to appoint Robb Vogelmann as interim superintendent. The message shared with the community on behalf of the Board is below.

Dear Parents, Guardians, Staff and Community Members,

This evening, the Board of Education met to accept Mr. Miller’s resignation as superintendent. During the meeting, the Board voted unanimously to appoint Mr. Robb Vogelmann as our interim superintendent, effective Feb. 1, 2023.

Mr. Vogelmann has been with Lakota since 1997. He has held the position of math teacher, assistant principal and principal. Most recently, Mr. Vogelmann has held the position of assistant superintendent since 2012, serving as interim superintendent for a brief period in 2017.

We have much work to do and our focus as a board and a district must be on doing what is best for our students. With over 25 years serving our community, Mr. Vogelmann is dedicated to our students and staff and is the right person to take the reins during this time.

The Board thanks Mr. Miller for his six years of service and the innovation he’s brought to the district during his tenure. We will update you as our community as the Board determines the steps it will take in naming a new superintendent.
