Lakota Local Schools invites staff, parents, guardians and seventh through twelfth grade students to participate in a survey about cell phone use in schools. The survey is open through Dec. 6 at 11:59 p.m.
Feedback has been gathered throughout the fall utilizing a ThoughtExchange survey, community conversation and corresponding exit survey. Now, the Lakota Board of Education and District leaders would like to add quantitative information to the feedback. In Ohio, school districts must have a cell phone policy in place by summer 2025. While Lakota has had a policy for over 10 years, it was last updated in 2017. The Board is using this as an opportunity to review the current policy and make adjustments that will best support student education.
