Decode, Encourage, Flourish: Building Literacy Habits at Home

Encouragement and support at home plays a big role in helping a child learn to read. The Tennessee Center for the Study and Treatment of Dyslexia at Middle Tennessee State University has published a guide to help. “Decoding Tips for Parents” can assist families with encouraging habits to build reading skills. The guide addresses five common errors children make and provides ways to help your child with decoding skills to improve literacy.
