Dr. Tracy Wurtzler Named Interim Executive Director of Special Services

Dr. Tracy Wurtzler Named Interim Executive Director of Special Services
Lakota Local Schools has named Dr. Tracy Wurtzler as the interim executive director of special services for the 2026-2027 school year.
In her new role, Wurtzler leads and directs special education programming across the District, supporting students from ages 3 through 22. She also serves as the District's federal grants consultant.
Wurtzler brings more than 33 years of education experience to the position. Her career includes work as a special educator, middle school teacher and gifted intervention specialist. She has also served as a curriculum consultant, gifted coordinator and director of pupil and special services in neighboring school districts.
In addition to her administrative work, Wurtzler teaches and supervises student teachers at Xavier University.
