Special Olympics Bowling Registration Now Open
Eligible students can now register for Lakota's Special Olympics bowling team.
Practices for school-age athletes will begin on March 1 at Mason Bowl (763 Reading Road). All athletes must have a current medical form completed before practice begins. Questions can be directed to Tonja Pohlman at tjpohlman@me.com. Visit the Butler County Special Olympics sign-up page to register and for more information about the program.
The mission of Lakota's Special Olympics program is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children (eight years and older) and adults with intellectual disabilities. The program gives them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
