Strategic Plan Update: Mapping Our Future

Lakota Local Schools is setting its sights on the next three to five years. A strategic plan serves as our district roadmap. It defines who we aspire to be, identifies our highest priorities and sets measurable goals to guide our budget, decisions and continuous improvement.

More than 1,200 community members recently shared their feedback through Lakota’s strategic plan survey. A steering team will now combine that data with feedback gathered over the last two years, educational expertise and future-focused thinking to establish a clear direction for the District. While this plan will reflect our community values, it will balance wide-ranging feedback with long-term district data to keep our goals actionable.

Upcoming Timeline:

• July 16: Steering team of about 50 people craft the new plan.
• Late July - Early August: Feedback and refinement.
• Early August: Staff receive a sneak peek of the plan at convocation.
• Fall 2026: Board review and approval.
