Lakota Preschool, located at both VanGorden Elementary and Liberty ECS, is now accepting lottery applications for available tuition-based seats for the 2024-2025 school year.
Lakota’s preschool program was established due to special education laws and regulations, most notably the federal law known as the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). While the program includes a tuition-based option for children with typical development, the availability of such openings depends on enrollment and service level requirements of Lakota’s preschool-age special education students.
Current tuition-based preschool students and their siblings are guaranteed a spot next school year. Lakota will continue with its traditional lottery process for any remaining tuition-based preschool seats. Applications must be received by Friday, May 3 to be considered for the lottery. Applicants will be selected at random and notices of admission will be sent by Wednesday, May 8. Families placed on a waiting list will also receive a communication on this date.
Parents are invited to complete and submit the 2024-2025 Lakota tuition-based preschool application.
