Open Enrollment Reminder: New Guidelines in Effect

Due to increasing enrollment throughout Lakota Local Schools, especially in grades kindergarten through sixth grade, changes were made to Administrative Guideline 5113, Inter-District Open Enrollment. Lakota Local Schools will no longer offer open enrollment for any new non-employee students in these grades beginning with the 2024-25 school year. 

Per Board Policy 5113 and its Administrative Guidelines, we will only be accepting applications from Lakota staff, and current open enrolled students in grades 7-12.

All completed applications must have been submitted to the Welcome Center by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024.

Moving forward, while Lakota has allowed current non-employee students who move out of district to remain enrolled in years past, this will no longer be an option in all grades, K-12.
