Staff and Returning Families: 2023-24 Open Enrollment Applications Due May 31

Each year, the Lakota Board of Education approves a “cap” on the number of open enrolled students the district is allowed at the start of the new school year. Administrative Guidelines 5113 state the priorities with which students are approved: Lakota staff, returning open enrolled students, siblings of returning open enrolled students and then new applicants. Please note revisions to Administrative Guidelines 5113 regarding a new required timeframe of 45 days for address change notification at the time of relocation.

Due to the high volume of returning open enrolled students, at this time we are not accepting first-time applicants for the 2023-2024 school year. Per Board Policy 5113 and Administrative Guidelines, we will only be accepting applications from current Lakota staff, returning open enrolled students and siblings of returning open enrolled students.

Current open enrolled students and current Lakota staff will be receiving an email with directions on how to apply for open enrollment. New staff requests must email enroll@lakotaonline.com to receive an application.

All completed applications must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, either in person at the Welcome Center or by securely emailing your application to enroll@lakotaonline.com.
