Our Athletics Hall of Fame celebrates Lakota's most talented and influential student-athletes. Over 200 student-athletes have earned the honor of being inducted into this group.

Inductees are recognized for this prestigious honor at our annual Hall of Fame dinner and awards program. Each inductee is presented with a personal plaque highlighting his or her contribution to the Lakota School District athletic program. In addition, a commemorative plaque with the inductee's name will be enshrined in an appropriate place of honor in both Lakota West and Lakota East high schools and at the Lakota Central Office.

Nomination Criteria

  1. Candidate must have been a Lakota student athlete, a Lakota employee, or a support person of the Lakota Athletic Program.
  2. Admission to the Lakota Athletic Hall of Fame is based upon athletic performance and contribution for Lakota.
  3. The waiting period for any student athlete must be a minimum of seven years out of high school for the 2011 Hall of Fame Class; nine year minimum for the HOF Class of 2012; and a ten year minimum for the HOF Class of 2013 where the waiting period will remain. A Lakota employee must be a minimum of two years beyond Lakota employment. A Lakota support person must be two years beyond the event or time period of service.
  4. There will be no restrictions on the number of years of Lakota attendance for a student athlete.
