State of the Schools
Every spring, Lakota hosts "State of the Schools," an opportunity for parents, students, staff and the community at-large to share in the great things happening around Lakota.
Superintendent Matthew Miller serves as emcee of the event, highlighting current examples and future plans that support the district’s strategic plan. Evidence of Lakota’s continued progress toward a personalized, future-ready K-12 educational experience is presented by student and staff speakers.
Preceding the formal program, which rotates between Lakota East and Lakota West high schools, is a school showcase that gives attendees an opportunity to experience innovative programs happening across the district.
"If you attend one district event all year long, this is the one you want to attend. We touch on all the major highlights of what’s happening across the district and what’s to come. I'm always excited to share the stage with some of our students and staff."Matthew Miller, Superintendent
